What PRP for Hair Loss Costs in NYC: Session, Series and Maintenance Prices
The price math from one published NYC package: $174-$224 a month in year one, $100-$150 for maintenance after, and who PRP may not suit.

Using one published NYC package, PRP for hair loss costs about $174 to $224 a month in the first year. After that, maintenance visits alone come to about $100 to $150 a month.
These figures combine Great Many’s New York series price with Kopelman Hair’s maintenance estimate, and the full arithmetic is below. At New York’s higher per-session rates, year one comes closer to $350 to $475 a month.
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma, which is made from your own blood. A visit includes consult time, a blood draw, centrifuge processing and the injections. Those are the four items Be Rejuved NYC’s cost guide says to check in any quote.

NYC sessions cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars to $1,500 each
Be Rejuved NYC (page fetched October 2026) says prices across New York range “from a few hundred to over a thousand dollars per session.” Kopelman Hair’s cost guide, dated April 6, 2025, puts a single session at $400 to $1,500 nationally.

One published NYC package: $495 a session in a $1,485 series
Great Many’s New York page (fetched October 2026) says PRP for hair restoration “costs $495 per session when purchased as part of a 3-treatment series for $1,485.” That works out to 3 × $495 for three visits.
The page links that rate to the series. Other spots on the same page show $495 a session without mentioning a series. Before you book a single visit to try it, ask whether one visit on its own costs the same.
A series also commits you to three visits before you know whether PRP suits your type of hair loss. That is one reason to find the cause first (covered below).
New York sessions can cost $1,200 to $1,500, so check what each quote covers
Kopelman Hair says New York sessions “can reach $1,200 to $1,500 due to higher demand.” That is more than in many other cities. Three sessions bought one at a time at that rate come to $3,600 to $4,500.
The top of that range is higher than the $1,200 to $4,000 Kopelman gives for a whole initial series, because packages lower the price per session. So ask a higher-priced clinic for its series price as well as its single-session price.
A lower price only counts as lower if it covers the same work. The checklist below turns Be Rejuved NYC’s advice into questions to put to each clinic:
- Does the price cover consult time, the blood draw, centrifuge processing and the injections, or is any of these billed separately?
- Is the per-session price only available with a series, and what does one visit cost on its own?
- How many sessions does the clinic recommend before maintenance, and what is the total for that number?
- What does a maintenance visit cost at this clinic, and how often are they booked?
- When was the price set, and will it change if you buy later?
Year one costs about $174 to $224 a month; after that, $100 to $150
The sources do not say when a starter series ends or when maintenance begins, so the year-one lines below are scenarios, not a standard schedule. Each one assumes three sessions first, then one or two maintenance visits before month 12. Three is the low end of the 3 to 6 sessions Kopelman says most patients complete. Kopelman puts maintenance after the initial series at about $600 a visit, every 4 to 6 months.
- Published package, maintenance every 6 months: Great Many’s $1,485 series + 1 × Kopelman’s $600 maintenance visit = $2,085 ÷ 12 = $173.75 a month.
- Published package, maintenance every 4 months: $1,485 + 2 × $600 = $2,685 ÷ 12 = $223.75 a month.
- New York single-session rates: 3 × $1,200 + $600 = $4,200 ÷ 12 = $350 a month, up to 3 × $1,500 + 2 × $600 = $5,700 ÷ 12 = $475 a month.
- Every year after the series: $600 ÷ 6 months = $100 a month, up to $600 ÷ 4 months = $150 a month.
- Same three-session start, priced at Kopelman’s New York rates versus Great Many’s series: $3,600 − $1,485 = $2,115 more, up to $4,500 − $1,485 = $3,015 more.
One caveat applies to every line. Kopelman does not give the $600 as a New York price, and New York sessions cost well above Kopelman’s national low end. A New York maintenance visit could cost more. Ask the clinic for its own maintenance price and use it in line 4. If the consult is billed separately (one of the items Be Rejuved NYC says to check), add that fee to year one.
Line 4 is the figure to compare with the monthly cost of other options. It is what PRP keeps costing after the starter series is paid.
PRP may not suit fully bald areas, an active infection or some blood disorders
Michele Green MD’s NYC PRP page says PRP is not effective where the hair follicles in an area are completely lost. The same page says “patients may not qualify for PRP therapy if they have an active infection or certain blood disorders.” On top of that, the cost keeps running for as long as maintenance does.
Skip the PRP package for now if an area is fully bald, or if you have an active infection or a blood disorder. Book a dermatologist visit instead. Then compare minoxidil, finasteride and hair transplants by monthly cost in HairLossTreatment’s monthly-cost table.
Find the cause first: see a dermatologist before buying a PRP series
The American Academy of Dermatology says “Effective treatment for hair loss begins with finding the cause,” and that a board-certified dermatologist is the best person to find it. MedlinePlus, the National Library of Medicine’s health site, makes the same point: the right treatment for hair loss depends on its cause.
So the first appointment to pay for is an evaluation, not a three-session package. Bring the quotes you have gathered and the clinics’ answers to the checklist. That way the cost discussion happens once the cause is known.
FAQ
Does a lower session price mean a better or worse clinic?
Neither. Price alone says nothing about quality. Compare quotes on the checklist items, including the maintenance price.
Can I stop paying after the starter series?
The figures here assume maintenance continues, because Kopelman describes maintenance visits after the initial series. Whether you need them is a question for your dermatologist.
Who should I see before buying PRP?
See a board-certified dermatologist when you first notice hair loss you want to address, so the cause is found before you pay for any PRP series.
